Volunteer Opportunities

There are numerous ways to lend your support to the Blavin Scholars Program. Through service and donations, University of Michigan and Ann Arbor community members can offer time, talent, or provide essential items to Blavin Scholars.

Volunteer Interest Form

Our goal is that through our strong network of volunteers, community partners and donors, the Blavin Volunteer Program will provide resources, time, and services needed to promote the success of University of Michigan students who have experienced time in foster care.

Blavin Volunteer Training

All prospective Blavin Volunteers go through a brief Blavin Volunteer Training and Orientation that covers the following topics: overview of the foster care experience, about the Blavin Scholars Program, the role of a Blavin Volunteer. Training attendees gain an understanding of the expectations of the Blavin Volunteer Program and the role of a Blavin Volunteer as well as some key strategies to being a supportive adult that can be implemented right away in their general work with students in the community.
