Blavin Scholars

To be eligible for the Blavin Scholars Program applicants must:

  • Have experienced time in foster care after 13th birthday
  • Be a current student or accepted to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor as a first-time freshman, or transfer student
  • Be a Michigan resident (eligible for in-state tuition) or a non-Michigan resident with a financial need
  • Demonstrate financial need each year via the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Be seeking an undergraduate degree 
  • Maintain full-time student status
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
  • Agree to participate in the Blavin Scholars Program
  • Scholarship and program eligibility are NOT restricted by current age or current foster care or permanency status
